When the clock strikes 12 on New Year's, revelers will raise their drinks to celebrate, and many of those drinks will be in red cups made by the Solo Cup Company.
The company’s signature product is a fixture at house parties and keggers across the nation, so when country star Toby Keith sang an ode to his “Red Solo Cup,” it became a drinker’s anthem — if not a chart-topper.
The song was penned by two sets of brothers: Jim and Brett Beavers and Brad and Brett Warren, and the two Warrens and Jim Beavers shared the story behind the song with Bart Herbison of Nashville Songwriters Association International.
